Embrace language through sport

Today visitors at Primrose Hill were greeted with people in morphsuits releasing 500 footballs to the public. The figures in morphsuits represented the different nationalities of the Olympics and encouraged visitors to learn a new language to be able to communicate with international visitors to London.

• Survey found that football was voted the world's friendliest sport.
• 50% of people who learn a new language are motivated by an interest in other cultures.
• Olympics presents a fantastic opportunity to meet international visitors.
• London is viewed as a friendly place, but 70% felt more cultural understanding would increase the city's welcoming factor.
• The ability to speak another language makes visitors feel more at home when travelling from abroad.
